Along with all the awesome agility dogs that attend classes in Muscatine, there are also a very impressive group of obedience dogs. I just had to post for myself and some of the others.
The last two weekends have been obed. trials for Clinton Iowa KC in DeWitt and the ICDOC trials in Amana. My MACH Simon has returned to the obed. ring to work on OTCH points., Sat. March 31, in DeWitt, Simon won the Utility B class and was the High Combined scoring dog. Last weekend in Amana he was the High Scoring Sheltie all three days, placed 2nd in Utility on Sat., won Utility on Sunday and placed 4th in Open to go High Combined again. We picked up a total of 39 pts in 2 weekends, not too bad. We are at 69 pts (need 100), and still need a 1st in Open B - which I'm sure we can pull off.
Sharon K and Amos picked up 3 UDX legs in 3 tries, which means he qualified in both Utility B and Open B all 3 trials Sharon had him entered in. Amos now has 6 and needs just for more for his UDX title. And he placed in Open at DeWitt to pick up an OTCH pt. You have to start somewhere.
Sandi and little Cody earned their UD title the weekend before DeWitt, then won the Utility A class and placed 2nd in Open B Sat. at DeWitt.
Alyce and the flatcoats have had a good year also. Bogie earned his UD earlier this spring. I know she has also picked up rally titles and novice obed. legs on the other black dogs. Sorry that I get them confused Alyce!! :-)
Oh, I almost forgot about my young Rudy. He earned his Rally Advanced title at the Amanas. If he hadn't barked in joy when going over one little jump he could have placed a bit higher than 4th!! <VBG>
